He completed his Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital and his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the Henry Ford Health System. He earned his medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and graduated summa cum laude from UC Riverside.
