Program Description: Kadri Orthopaedics (“we,” “us,” “our”) offers an SMS-based patient education program for patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty (TKA) or total hip arthroplasty (THA). This program is educational only and does not replace medical advice from your care team.
- You consent to receive automated, recurring SMS messages from Kadri Orthopaedics related to your surgical preparation and post-operative recovery education.
- Message frequency varies based on your stage of recovery. You may receive up to 5 messages per week during active recovery phases.
- Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless carrier for details about your messaging plan.
- You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive a one-time confirmation and no further messages will be sent.
- For help or questions, reply HELP to any message, or contact our office directly (see contact information below).
- Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of any purchase, service, or treatment.
- These messages are not intended for emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
Supported carriers include but are not limited to AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Sprint. T-Mobile is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
How You Opt In
(Consent Process)
Patients provide consent to receive SMS messages through one of the following methods:
1. In-Office Written Consent: During the pre-operative office visit or surgical scheduling appointment, patients are presented with a consent form that includes an unchecked checkbox and the following language:
A note on evidence: Research on PRP varies in preparation method, dose, injection technique, and patient selection — which is one reason individual results differ. The studies cited here are representative of the strongest signals; the full literature is large, evolving, and not uniform. We discuss the evidence specific to your condition at your evaluation.
The patient must check the box and sign the form. The checkbox is not pre-checked.
2. Online Enrollment: Patients may also enroll at https://kadriortho.netlify.app/ by entering their first name and mobile phone number, checking the consent checkbox, and submitting the form. The consent checkbox is not pre-checked and must be actively selected before the form can be submitted.
No SMS messages are sent until consent has been obtained through one of the methods above. The first message the patient receives is a confirmation of enrollment, not a request for consent.
Opt-in data (phone number and consent confirmation) is stored securely and is never shared with third parties.
